- Conveying the message and fulfilling the trust, as evident in the invitation of Prophet Joseph (peace be upon him) to his fellow inmates in prison to monotheism and exclusive devotion to Allah, urging them to abandon polytheism and highlighting its dangers.
- Participation in governance, as Almighty Allah empowered Joseph (peace be upon him) with authority and rulership by royal decree: {Indeed, you are today established [in position] and trusted} [Yusuf: 54].
One type of complete empowerment is Allah's empowerment of individuals like Dhul-Qarnayn, David, Solomon (peace be upon them), and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Medina after the conquest of Mecca. We notice in the phrase {We established} that Almighty Allah attributed empowerment to His own exalted essence using the pronoun "We", indicating the significance of the matter; Without this empowerment, Joseph would not have achieved anything. This is a clear and prominent truth from the story; From a young boy threatened with death in a well to being the Aziz (minister) of Egypt, settling therein wherever he willed, this indeed reflects the wisdom and power of Allah, The All-Knowing, The Wise.
Indeed, the Quranic verse mentions empowerment on a broader scale, extending beyond Joseph's previous empowerment in the household of the Aziz. Now, his authority encompasses the entire land of Egypt, including all its territories and resources. Joseph's resistance to succumbing to his desires led Almighty Allah to grant him sovereignty over Egypt.
