Episode (07)
Politics is defined as the art of leading societies in driving away corruption and bringing about benefits. Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) was a great leader in spiritual, social, and political matters, etc. He had the necessary qualities that helped him organize the new life based on the principles and values of justice, freedom, equality, and human rights, according to the Sharia revealed to him by Allah: {He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].} [Ash-Shuraa: 13]. The Sharias began with Allah’s commandments to Noah (peace be upon him), and they were based on driving away corruption and bringing benefits to mankind in life.
Allah, the Exalted, chose Noah (peace be upon him) for his prophethood and mission to establish the new role of vicegerency on Earth after the great flood. He was to organize the affairs of the nations with him, safeguard their interests, and issue governance based on a divine law. People united on diverse views, and Noah (peace be upon him) faced challenges and difficulties with wisdom and knowledge. He worked to protect people's rights, eliminate injustice, and provide for their essential needs according to the divine Sharia. He combined the implementation of the divine Sharia with worldly governance, stirred collective energies, made people serious and concerned with matters of importance rather than trivialities, inspired the spirit of effort in people, and encouraged them to be active and hardworking. They felt happiness and a good life in their worldly and otherworldly endeavors. The spirit of worship, in its true sense, was evident in the life and actions of that society, not only in performing religious duties and voluntary acts seeking the pleasure of Allah, but in performing all deeds with the spirit of worship:
- The ruler governs his people with the spirit of worship.
- The teacher teaches his students with the spirit of worship.
- The merchant conducts his trade with the spirit of worship.
These are some of the key features of the second human civilization led by Noah (peace be upon him). Undoubtedly, it was an ideal period in the history of humanity, one that requires in-depth study and exploration, which can help humanity find its way back to the right path after losing great references in beliefs, ideas, worship, ethics, and transactions. The devils led them into deep deserts of misguidance.
