Allah Almighty has always been the Creator, and His creation is evidence of the resurrection

Selections from the Book The Story of The Beginning of Creation and The Creation of Adam, peace be upon him …

Episode (18)

One of the key points of this great narrative is that Allah Almighty has always been the Creator. The attribute of creation is an eternal, inherent quality of Allah Almighty. He has always been the Creator and the All-Knowing, and creation is not a stage that has completed its phases and ceased. Everything that happens in the universe—whether it be actions, decrees, management, changes, or transformations; whether it is day or night, summer or winter, life or death, honor or humiliation, victory or defeat—is all by Allah’s command and management. Ibn Sa’di commented on the verse: {Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began ‎creation.} [Al-'Ankabut: 20]‎, noting that you will find nations of human beings continually coming into existence, and you will see how plants and trees develop over time. You will observe the clouds and winds continually renewing themselves. Indeed, creation is always in a state of beginning and renewal.

Allah Almighty has also made the principle of creation a proof of His ability to resurrect it. He, the Almighty, said: {And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is [even] easier for ‎Him.} [Ar-Rum: 27]‎. He also said: {Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began ‎creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation [i.e., development]. Indeed ‎Allah, over all things, is competent."} [Al-'Ankabut: 20].

The One who is capable of initiating creation is even more capable of repeating it, and repeating it based on a previous example is easier than starting without a precedent. In a narration from Abu Huraira, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah, the Mighty and Sublinm, says: 'The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. and the son of Adam reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, It is his saying that I will not resurrect him as I created him in the beginning, but resurrecting him is not more difficult for Me than creating him in the first place. And as for his reviling Me, it is his saying that Allah has taken a son, but I am Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, I beget not nor was I begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable unto Me.’”
