Episode (6)
4- Submitting To What It Signifies, Which Is Contrary To Abandoning It:
Allah Almighty said: {And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped.} [Az-Zumar: 54], and He said: {And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good} [An-Nisa: 125].
5- Truthfulness, which is the opposite of falsehood:
This means that one must say it truthfully from the heart, with the heart aligning with the tongue. Allah Almighty said: {Alif, Lam, Meem. (1) Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? (2) But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. (3)} [Al-'Ankabut: 1-3]. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If anyone testifies sincerely that there is no true god but Allah, and Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, truly from his heart, Allah will safeguard him from Hell".
6- Sincerity:
This means purifying one's intention in righteous deeds from all forms of shirk (Polytheism). Allah Almighty said: {Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion.} [Az-Zumar: 3]. And He said: {So worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.} [Az-Zumar: 2]. And He also said: {And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.} [Al-Bayyinah: 5]. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,' sincerely from the bottom of his heart". The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Allah has forbidden Hell for the one who says, 'There is no god but Allah', seeking thereby the Face of Allah".
7- Love:
This refers to the love for this word, for what it necessitates and indicates, and for its people who act upon it and adhere to its conditions, as well as hatred for anything that contradicts it. Allah Almighty said: {And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah.} [Al-Baqarah: 165].
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “There are three qualities whoever has them, will taste the sweetness of faith: To love Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) more than anyone else; to love a slave (of Allah) only for (the sake of) Allah; and to abhor returning to infidelity after Allah has saved him from it as he would abhor to be thrown into Hell”. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, also said: “None of you believes till I am dearer to him than his father, his child, and all mankind”.
The love of Allah Almighty can only be complete by loving what He loves and hating what He hates. The way to know this is by following and loving the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, loving Allah necessitates loving His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), following him, and obeying him. Whoever fulfills these conditions, acts upon them, and avoids what contradicts them, will be granted forgiveness of sins by the permission of Allah Almighty.
